This Privacy Policy governs your use of the software applications “Michaelis Dicionário Brasileiro da Língua Portuguesa” (before version 4.0), “Michaelis Moderno Dicionário Inglês”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Língua Portuguesa”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Inglês”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Espanhol”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Italiano”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Francês”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar Alemão”, “Michaelis Dicionário Escolar 3 Línguas” and “Michaelis Dicionário Português e Inglês” (from now on referred to as “Dictionaries”), as well as the software application “Michaelis Dicionário Brasileiro da Língua Portuguesa” version 4.0 or newer (from now on referred to as “Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0”), and the software application “Michaelis Guia Prático da Nova Ortografia” (from now on referred to as “Guia Prático”), created by A&H Software Ltda. (from now on referred to as “A&H”) for computers and mobile devices (from now on referred to as “Devices”).

The Dictionaries, Guia Prático and Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 differ slightly regarding their privacy policies, and these differences are laid out explicitly in separate sections below.

The version number of the application being used can be checked in the settings of the Devices, or in the section “About” or “About the app”, in the application itself.

Information obtained and used by the Dictionaries

The only information requested by the Dictionaries themselves is a word search query. The information entered is stored in the Devices and never transmitted outside the Devices by the Dictionaries for processing.

The Dictionaries themselves do not collect any personal information automatically.

The Dictionaries themselves do not use, collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, phone number, username, email address or geographic location (generic or precise), neither in real time nor in scheduled, batch or aggregate form.

Information obtained and used by Guia Prático

The Guia Prático uses Google AdMob to display ads; AdMob collects data and information automatically, and also uses a unique identifier for your device in order to display relevant ads to you, according to its usage e privacy policies.

The Guia Prático itself does not use, collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, phone number, username or email address, neither in real time nor in scheduled, batch or aggregate form.

Information obtained and used by Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0

The only information requested by Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 itself is a word search query. The information entered is stored in the Devices and never transmitted outside the Devices by Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 for processing.

The Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 itself does not collect any personal information automatically.

The Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 itself does not use, collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you, such as your name, address, phone number, username, email address or geographic location (generic or precise), neither in real time nor in scheduled, batch or aggregate form.

The Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 uses Apple's iCloud and Google's Google Drive services to save or restore a backup of the dictionary's preferences, notes, history and favorites, according to the user's explicit request when using the buttons “Salvar na Nuvem”, “Recuperar da Nuvem” or “Apagar da Nuvem” in the application, subject to the following policies:

Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 for iOS

The only information stored in the user's iCloud is the backup of the dictionary's preferences, notes, history and favorites. This storage doesn't affect the availability or the available space in the user's iCloud account.

The storage is managed by Apple itself, and neither A&H nor any other third party has access to it. The ability to access the information is restricted uniquely and exclusively to the application, and only for and by the user that purchased it.

The iOS version doesn't collect, access or transmit any personally identifiable information about the user in order to access the iCloud service.

Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 for Android

The only information stored in the user's Google Drive is the backup of the dictionary's preferences, notes, history and favorites. This information is stored in a hidden folder (called application data folder) and it doesn't affect the availability or the available space in the user's Google Drive account.

The storage is managed by Google itself, and neither A&H nor any other third party has access to it. The ability to access the information is restricted uniquely and exclusively to the application, only for and by the user that purchased it, and just for the application's hidden folder.

In order for the application to have access to the backup of the dictionary's preferences, notes, history and favorites in Google Drive, it's required an explicit consent from the user through OAuth 2.0 authentication and the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.appdata. No information about the user is stored or transmitted by the application for this operation.

Opt-out rights for the Dictionaries

As the Dictionaries themselves do not collect or transmit any personally identifiable information about you, you are automatically opted-out.

Opt-out rights for Guia Prático

As the Guia Prático uses AdMob to display ads, you can opt-out the following ways:

• use the personalized ad controls of your Google account at https://adssettings.google.com/u/0/authenticated;

• on iOS, in your device settings, turn off the option “Personalized Ads” under Privacy & Security > Apple Advertising;

• on Android, select “Delete advertising ID” under Settings > Privacy > Ads;

Opt-out rights for Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0

As the Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 uses Apple's iCloud and Google's Google Drive services to save or restore a backup of the dictionary's preferences, notes, history and favorites, you can opt-out the following ways:

Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 for iOS

• use the option “Apagar da Nuvem” in the application's “Preferências” section;

• in your device settings, click the button “Delete documents and data” in iCloud > Manage Storage > Dicionário Michaelis Português;

Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 for Android

• use the option “Apagar da Nuvem” in the application's “Preferências” section;

• use the option “Disconnect from Drive” in Settings > Manage Apps > Michaelis Dicionário Brasileiro da Língua Portuguesa > Options in your Google Drive page;

• use the option “Remove access” in Security > Third-party apps with account access > Manage third-party access > Michaelis Dicionário Brasileiro da Língua Portuguesa in your Google account;

• uninstall the application from your device;

Children

We do not use the Dictionaries, Guia Prático or Michaelis Brasileiro 4.0 to knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us through our website at https://www.aandh-software.com/contato.

Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time for any reason. You are advised to consult this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. If we make any material changes to our Privacy Policy, we will place a prominent notice on our website at https://www.aandh-software.com.
